Are there old Bor Mámor timers? Everyone who has been before is sure to have heard Laci Németh play. He’s been creating the atmosphere since the very beginning in 2009, always part of an authentic formation, adding to the atmosphere of the festival. And now he’s coming with a real “old-timer”, one of those to make Moldovan music popular in Hungary, and guaranteed to create a true Csángó atmosphere for us!
Their music follows the age-old traditions of village music, that is formed according to internal rules, interweaving at just the right moment, played daringly, and never the same twice.
Róbert Kerényi “Szigony” is a founder of the Tatros band (1988), its leader and he has played a key role in the spreading and popularising of Gyimes and Moldavan Csángó music and dance in Hungary. After he left Tatros he founded Szigony, which is always in the most suitable formation. In Bény as a duo. László Németh has been playing with Szigony for years. Festival-goers will remember him as part of Édes Málé, Húrlekvár, Tázló and the Csángó Duó.
